A Silhouetted Bur Oak on the Prairie

Kathy J Parenteau wrote, "Stand tall oh mighty oak, for all the world to see, your strength and undying beauty forever amazes me." The winged ridges along the bur oak branches and the little "Friar Tuck" acorns (acorns with a hairy fringe on the cap) are a couple unique characteristics I enjoy about this tree.
